The sock is coming along nicely.  I do wish I could whip them out as fast as Wendy but such is not the case.  Granted, she’s been knitting quite a bit longer than I have.  I think I have about 2 1/2 years on me, she has a little more 🙂  I have finished the gusset decreases and have been working a bit on the foot, so I am ahead of schedule LOL.  I do plan to finish it today, and then I shall start a new pair.  Kid ones this time, a pair for each of my girls.  I found some cute patterns that I’ll go through and then use some Lorna’s Laces that I won from a contest at my old LYS The Black Sheep Wool, Co. in Salt Lake City.  I won five lovely skeins of it!  Not too shabby.  I can make a boat load of socks for little ones with all that 🙂  Plus, I still want to make Jessie some knee socks with some thicker yarn.  I do have some dye your own yarn from Knit Picks that might work well in the plain old non dyed color it comes in.  That way she could wear them with dresses.  Or I could try to go totally funky and make her some pink and red striped ones, like the tights I wanted to get her at the store.  But I didn’t think they’d match.  Then I felt bad because who cares if they match anything, they were so cool looking!  Who knows.  So much to choose from!  🙂  I really do enjoy knitting socks.  Socks and baby items, those are my most favorite to knit.  I also like dishcloths, those are nice and easy to whip out!

My aunt and my cousin, my sister and her baby girl (I guess she falls into the toddler category now, since she’s 2) are coming for Christmas!  I am really excited to see my sister and niece.  My cousin and aunt too, but not as much as my sister and niece.  They just moved in with my aunt to get out of a bad situation and I’ve been really worried about her and mostly just want to see her and make sure she’s ok.  I’m really looking forward to it.  It will be the first Christmas in a long time that my mom, sister and I have been together, since I have lived in Utah for the past 7 or 8 years.  They were able to come down for one of them, that was nice, and I was able to come up for one.  But since we both had our kids, this is the first time.  I think we only had Jessie and Niffie was a teeny baby the last time they were able to come down.  Anyway, it will be awesome to all be together.I would like it to be known that I can’t stand the wofl-something else mix dog across the street.  He is constantly howling, as he is right now, and when a train goes by it gets worse.  I’m not impressed.  If I didn’t like his owners so much, I’d have a mind to send a nasty note.  But they really are nice people, so it’s just one of those things I’ll have to overlook. 🙂

Well, I’m off to work more on that sock.  I hope to post pictres post giving, that way they can be on the receiver’s foots.  Yes, foots 🙂
